One of the Big Four, Deloitte, has decided to stop offering its non-auditing services to all its clients in India. This comes weeks after another Big Four accounting firm — PricewaterhouseCoopers (pwc) stops providing its non-auditing services in India. This further means that Deloitte India, henceforth, will not provide its non-auditing services to its clients, wherein public money is involved.

Deloitte has a list of firms that avail its audit services, and they will also not allow to take in the non-auditing services. A Deloitte spokesperson said, "We believe this would increase public confidence in auditor independence and quality and will remove ambiguity in public and business environment that demands greater clarity about our services.”
